Kentro is hiring a UI/UX Developer with strong expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Experience Cloud, and modern front-end engineering. This role focuses on building secure, responsive, and accessible interfaces for federal end-users—supporting both online and offline functionality through integrations with Pulsar. You’ll work closely with designers, developers, and integration engineers to bring intuitive, compliant user experiences to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and style UI components using Lightning Web Components (LWC), HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Collaborate with designers and product owners to convert wireframes into responsive, user-friendly interfaces
  • Integrate front-end logic with Salesforce backend (Apex), MuleSoft APIs, and Tableau visual components
  • Implement and optimize UI experiences for both connected and offline scenarios (Pulsar-enabled)
  • Ensure all designs meet 508 accessibility, security, and performance requirements
  • Contribute to UI standards and reusable component libraries within a scaled low-code environment

Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours. Washington, DC Metro Area preferred.

  • 3+ years of front-end development experience, including 2+ years with Salesforce LWC and Experience Cloud
  • Strong skills in responsive UI/UX design, usability, and accessibility (WCAG, Section 508)
  • Working knowledge of Java (especially for interfacing with APIs and legacy logic)
  • Experience working with Agile teams, story grooming, and rapid iteration cycles
  • Experience in federal consulting, preferably supporting Homeland Security or Civilian programs

Certifications (Required or Must Obtain Within 90 Days):

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I
  • Salesforce Associate
  • Nice to Have: UX Design Certification (NN/g, CXS, or equivalent)

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Pulsar or other offline-first design principles
  • Experience working with MuleSoft API responses and embedded Tableau visualizations
  • Exposure to Figma, Adobe XD, or design systems used in low-code environments
  • Experience supporting low-code implementation in large, complex enterprise settings

Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
