Reflex Media, the team behind Seeking.com, is hiring a UI/UX Designer. You will craft consumer-focused interfaces across onboarding, discovery, matching, and messaging for web and mobile, combining systems thinking with emotional design.

You will work closely with Co-CEOs and Head of Product in a cross-functional pod, shaping core experiences while using AI tools to accelerate outcomes. Remote work within the US is supported, with team weeks in Las Vegas.

Qualifications

  • Proficient use of AI tools (Claude or equivalent) to accelerate design work and scale outcomes.
  • Data-informed design using funnel/engagement data (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase) preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to clearly justify design decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end UI/UX for web and native iOS/Android experiences across onboarding, discovery, matching, messaging, profile, and subscriptions.
  • Design complete flows, including all states, errors, and edge cases, within the design system.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional pod (PM, engineers, data engineer) and report to Head of Product.
  • Create emotionally rich interfaces with motion, video, and layered texture while keeping critical tasks fast and frictionless.
  • Iterate based on funnel and engagement data; prototype in Figma, Framer, or code and test with real users.
  • Experiment with agentic AI tools daily to explore options and accelerate shipping.

About the Role

Seeking.com is the world's largest premium dating platform, founded and led by an MIT alumnus and headquartered in Las Vegas. We work at the intersection of technology, consumer psychology, and product design at the highest level. Our mission is to help people foster genuine relationships and find love, and to rethink how social platforms can advance human connection.

We are hiring a UI/UX Designer who combines three things: systems thinking, customer obsession, and an eye for emotionally rich interaction design. Dating is an emotional product. People act on emotion first and logic second, so our interface has to earn trust, build excitement, and guide each member toward the next right step.

You will work directly with the Co-CEOs and Head of Product, embedded in a cross-functional pod with a Product Manager, engineers, and a data engineer. Each pod owns a funnel, such as onboarding, and is measured on the sign‑ups, engagement, and purchases it drives. You will design across web and native iOS and Android: onboarding, discovery, matching, messaging, profile, and subscription surfaces.

AI tools can now produce a basic, competent interface in minutes. That makes tool skill table stakes. We pay for judgment: understanding the member deeply, anticipating edge cases before they ship, and knowing when an experience should be fast and minimal and when it should be layered with motion, video, and texture that pull the member forward.

This role may also be a fit for candidates whose current title is UX Designer, UX/UI Designer, Product Designer, Interaction Designer, Visual Designer, Motion Designer, or Product Design Engineer. If your day-to-day is designing and shipping consumer experiences that real people love using, apply regardless of title.

What You'll Own
Customer Obsession & Research
  • Spend real time with members: interviews, session recordings, support tickets, and beta groups of real users who test new work before it ships.
  • Turn what you learn into designs that match how members actually want to browse, connect, and communicate.
Systems Thinking & Edge Cases
  • Design complete flows, including every state, error, empty screen, and edge case, so engineering builds it right the first time.
  • Break big experience problems into small, shippable steps that build momentum.
  • Work inside our design system and extend it cleanly when a new pattern is needed.
Emotional & Interaction Design
  • Design for emotion and guidance: motion, video, fluid transitions, and layered texture that build excitement and lead members along the right path.
  • Keep task moments such as settings, payments, and verification fast, clean, and effortless.
  • Make the effect of member actions visible, so adding a photo, completing a profile, or verifying feels immediately rewarding.
Core Experiences You'll Shape
  • Onboarding that takes a new member from download to a compelling profile in minutes.
  • Conversational, AI‑guided profile building that replaces long forms.
  • Discovery and shortlisting flows that move members from browsing to real connection.
  • Messaging as seamless as the best consumer apps, with rich media and video built in.
  • Self‑presentation tools that let members who value discretion show who they are with confidence.
Data-Driven Iteration
  • Work from funnel and engagement data with your pod. Instrument what you ship and read the results.
  • Prototype in Figma, Framer, or code (v0, Lovable, Cursor) and put ideas in front of real members within days.
Agentic Operating Model
  • Use Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and comparable tools every day to explore more options and ship faster.
  • Help build the design team's agent workflows and playbook so the whole team compounds.
Required Qualifications
  • A portfolio of shipped consumer product work that shows exceptional UI/UX craft: typography, layout, motion, interaction, and polish.
  • A consistent pattern of customer obsession across your career. Your case studies start with the user and end with what changed for them.
  • Systems thinking. You anticipate edge cases, design every state, and see how one screen affects the whole journey.
  • Proven ability to design for emotion, using motion, transitions, video, and visual texture with purpose.
  • Relentless curiosity. You keep asking why until you understand the member, and you are always learning.
  • Smart risk-taking. You try bold ideas, test them small, and learn fast.
  • Three or more years of hands‑on UI/UX or product design experience in consumer B2C, mobile, or subscription products.
  • Expert Figma: component systems, auto‑layout, prototyping, tokens, and multi‑file library management.
  • Daily, fluent use of agentic AI tools (Claude, Claude Code, or comparable), with enough technical and architectural fluency to direct AI toward results that scale. You will be asked to demonstrate this in the interview.
  • Comfort working from funnel and engagement data (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase, or comparable).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication. You can walk the CEO through a design decision clearly and quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior work in dating, social, marketplace, or subscription products.
  • Motion design skills in tools such as After Effects, Rive, Lottie, or Principle.
  • Front‑end fluency (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) sufficient to ship small changes yourself.
  • Experience running or partnering on customer beta programs.
  • Public work we can see: portfolio, prototypes, Dribbble, Behance, or a personal site.
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human‑computer interaction, or a related field. We weigh the work most heavily.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $90,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience and craft.
