The UX/UI Designer combines strategy, research, and design to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences. Using Design Thinking and human-centered design principles, this role researches user and business needs, develops design concepts, creates prototypes and UI designs, validates solutions with users, and iterates based on feedback. The designer partners with product, business, technology, and content teams to deliver experiences that support business objectives and user needs.
Top 3 Required Skills/Experience
- 3–5 years of UX/UI Design experience including user research, interaction design, visual/UI design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Design Thinking / Human-Centered Design experience including discovery, user research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and iterative design.
- Strong Figma experience creating wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, interactive prototypes, and design artifacts.
Required Skills/Experience
- Conduct user and design research to understand user needs, business goals, and opportunities.
- Participate in requirements and discovery activities to identify user goals and measures of success.
- Create sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs to communicate and validate concepts.
- Conduct usability testing and incorporate user feedback into designs.
- Develop user flows, experience maps, journey maps, and information architecture.
- Apply UX, UI, accessibility, and human-centered design best practices.
- Present design concepts and research findings to stakeholders and gain alignment.
- Collaborate with product, business, technology, content, and other design teams.
- Research emerging UX/UI, technology, and design trends.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product development process.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Strong visual and interaction design skills.
- Experience with design systems, style guides, pattern libraries, and design toolkits.
- Experience with Axure, Balsamiq, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Basic understanding of programming, data, and technical constraints that impact design implementation.
- Experience leading design projects, workshops, or teams.
- Experience in a complex enterprise or healthcare environment.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, Human Factors, or related field preferred.
- Extensive UX/UI Design experience may substitute for education.
- Portfolio required demonstrating UX/UI design work, user research, Design Thinking, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs.
