Job summary

Iowa Workforce Development seeks a Workforce Program Coordinator for the UI Tax Bureau. The role operates from Iowa WORKS Sioux City or Des Moines, with a hybrid schedule after six months and a starting wage of $30.57/hour.

The position requires coordinating with bureau managers, responding to USDOL requests, and translating performance standards into expectations while improving processes and governance within the UI Tax program.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field and experience equal to three years in employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or labor market analysis.
• Current, continuous experience in Iowa Workforce Development that includes two years of full-time work in employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or occupational, budget, or labor market analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, plan, and organize quality review activities for the UI Tax Bureau.
• Draft and update procedures, processes, and policies to ensure USDOL compliance.
• Provide accurate data and support to leadership for policy or statutory changes.
• Collaborate with UI Bureau Managers and other IWD units to resolve operational issues in the UI Tax program.
