UI Lead Engineer with React (Remote)

We are seeking a highly qualified UI Lead Engineer - React (Remote) with 10+ years of experience in React and Next.js. This hybrid work model offers the flexibility of day shifts, allowing you to contribute effectively without the need for travel. Your expertise will drive innovative solutions and enhance project outcomes.

Location: Costa Mesa, CA – Or (Remote)

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level web applications using React and Next.js.
2. Utilize the Vitest framework to write, automate, and maintain unit and integration tests for React components.
3. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices.
4. Apply Next.js expertise, including server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).
5. Implement testing practices, with a strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) as a plus.
6. Facilitate knowledge sharing and training sessions to empower team members and enhance their technical skills.
7. Contribute to the company's strategic goals by driving innovation and efficiency in software development processes.

Qualifications

1. 10+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6, and TypeScript; strong knowledge of front-end technologies.
2. Experience with component-based architecture, reusable UI components, and efficient state management in large-scale applications.
3. Proficiency in Git, Git workflows, and CI/CD tools.
4. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

The annual salary for this position ranges between $120k and $141k, depending on experience and qualifications.

• This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to applicable plans.
