Join Us, and Ship Robots

Weave was founded to build the robots we’d want to have in our own home. We believe the next generation of robotics will transform everyday life by enabling people to do more and to reclaim time to spend on what’s important.

We also believe robots are in a sense like any other product: to matter, they have to ship. Our robots are already operating in real homes and businesses, giving us the opportunity to rapidly improve from real-world experience. With a growing team, strong customer demand, and capital for expansion, we’re entering an exciting stage of growth—and we’re looking for people with exceptional talent and standards to help bring home robotics to millions of households.

The Role

We’re a lean team building vertically integrated robots, and a lot of the core work is cross-functional. This role covers the glue that brings our stack together: you understand the whole stack, and you work on whatever the current bottleneck is to make sure we can continue building and deploying at high speed.

The right candidate for this role will have to understand every layer of the stack and be able to: fill in wherever needed, unblock a deployment, bring up new robots, and architect software that sits outside clean codebase boundaries. You’ll be responsible for making sure we’re bringing up our robots as fast as possible, that our commercial and residential deployments are successful, and that system-wide issues are resolved quickly.

Responsibilities
  • Rapid prototyping: get new sensors and hardware integrated into our hardware and software fast.
  • Unblock the stack: When a problem sits between teams, a complex bug that no one's able to trace down, you'll jump in and finish it.
  • Bring up new robots: Take new builds from first power-on through deployment: flash, calibrate, stress-test, chase down what fails, and hand over a working robot.
  • Deploy robotic systems: Install, configure, and validate robots at customer locations, ensuring successful deployments and a seamless customer experience from day one.
  • Engineer customer-specific integration. Configure tasks for the customer’s real workflows and integrate with their processes, tools, or systems, writing the glue code and configuration a new environment demands.
  • Turn firsts into playbooks. Convert each novel deployment into runbooks, tooling, and checklists that let the next deployment be done faster, by someone more junior, or eventually by the customer.
  • Feed the product. You'll see what breaks at new sites before anyone else and turn that into sharp, prioritized feedback and bug reports for teammates.
What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years as a systems generalist, software-leaning with real hardware competence: you can debug a network, read system logs and debug traces, use multimeters, etc.
  • Hands‑on robotics experience: Hands‑on experience working with AMRs, AGVs, or complex robotic or electromechanical systems.
  • Deployment or integration experience with complex physical or connected systems at customer sites: robotics, automation, medical devices, or forward‑deployed software roles.
  • Judgment under ambiguity. This role is about intuition. You’ll work with ambiguous situations and will have to exercise best judgement to get to the best possible solutions, quickly.
  • Systems troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose issues across mechanical assemblies, electrical system, firmware, low-level and system‑level software.
Nice to Have
  • Rapid prototyping experience: You’ve built quick robots, scripts, fixtures to answer research or engineering questions in days.
  • Safety assessment experience: HARA or similar structured risk assessment for physical systems.
  • Robotics field experience with AMRs, AGVs, or autonomous systems in production.
