Job summary

Ridgeline is seeking an Engineering Manager for UI Framework to lead the team building the foundation of Ridgeline’s front-end platform. You will guide framework evolution, tooling, and back-end lite services to empower product engineers to ship high-quality experiences.

You will partner with Design, Product, and Engineering to set direction, mentor engineers, and ensure reliable, performant, and scalable front-end systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in management or technical leadership.
• Experience building and evolving front-end architectures for large web apps.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React.
• Strong tooling knowledge: Webpack, ESBuild, Bun, Jest, and related tech.
• Experience with CI/CD, build pipelines, and deployment infrastructure.
• Experience designing platform APIs, frameworks, or shared services.
• Understanding backend/cloud infra: Node.js, AWS, containers, IaC.
• Experience leading teams with AI integration in the software lifecycle.
• Proven ability to influence direction and build consensus.
• Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UI Framework team responsible for foundational systems and infrastructure powering Ridgeline front-end apps.
• Set strategy and technical direction for Ridgeline's UI framework balancing long-term investments and team needs.
• Partner with product engineers to identify challenges and build reusable solutions to accelerate development.
• Own and evolve build, test, bundle, and deploy systems with focus on reliability and performance.
• Drive developer productivity through APIs, tooling, documentation, automation, CLIs, lint rules, and AI workflows.
