REQUIRED:

• Appropriate NJ Certification
• 2+ Years of College Essay Coaching Experience Required (submit documentation on Red Rover)
• Familiarity with admission prompts and strong ability to preserve authentic student voices

DUTIES:

• The After School College Essay Specialist will lead the structured, interactive workshops open to all 12th grade students preparing for college admissions. Deliver hands‑on guidance across the entire writing process, including story brainstorming, Common App/supplemental essay coaching, milestone tracking and 1:1 feedback.
• Develop registration QR code sessions for students to select date/time of the workshop either 7:00-7:30 am or 2:45-3:45 pm. The schedule will be coordinated with the Director of Instruction and Funded Programs, Principal and/or Supervisor of Counseling. The teacher will be required to keep accurate attendance and lessons for monitoring purposes.

RATE OF PAY/TIME:

$46 per hour to include (5) hours of prep/planning time (Total not to exceed $1610)

7:00-7:30 am and/or 2:45 -3:45 pm
