Job Summary

This recruitment will be used to fill multiple full-time Custodian positions for University Housing and Dining Services at Oregon State University (OSU). University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS) recognizes the importance of learning both in and out of the classroom, and supports the concept of education as an individual as well as a community experience. Our primary focus is service to OSU students. We strive to provide our students, faculty, staff, and guests with safe, economical, on-campus living and dining options that are convenient and comfortable. We offer a variety of living and dining options in our residence halls, three dining centers, and a limited number of family apartments and houses. Our Department is an auxiliary enterprise which is funded solely by customers who use our services -- we receive no State or tax dollars. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe resident hall for all of our guest Clean and disinfect Bathrooms, showers, classrooms and offices
• Sweep, mop and vacuum hard surfaces and carpets
• Clean multiple spaces within UHDS facilities Assist with deep cleaning of our halls, including floor work
• Moving and transporting furniture and equipment Trash removal, stocking paper products and chemical stock

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications are not established for this classification. The appointing authority is responsible for recruitment and selection.
• This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Successful as a Custodian or housekeeper.

• Working Conditions/Schedule: These positions work in various environments including but not limited to: residence hall, office/work environment, apartment housing or dining center. These positions interact with residents and customers on a daily basis. Typical work shift is M-F from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, 5 days per week which may include weekends. This position is deemed essential and will be expected to report to work during inclement weather, emergency and other University work curtailments or closures.

Salary Range

$18.06 - $22.84
