The Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center (EOARC) at OSU invites applications for three part-time Student Ranch Technician positions in Union, Oregon. Required Qualifications

Training in calving techniques & animal care will be provided. Additional Required Qualifications: This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous farm/ranch experience is preferred.

Working Conditions/Schedule

• Located six hours from Corvallis
• Work is performed in barns and outdoors in various locations, off main campus.
• May have exposure to noxious odors, loud noises, and machinery.
• May be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
• May maneuver up to 50 lbs. and may be required to stoop, bend and kneel on hard floors as necessary.
• Flexible hours as needed to complete experiments/projects.
