UNTWN Uniontown Hospital is seeking a patient scheduling and pre-registration specialist to ensure procedures are scheduled accurately and resources prepared. You will verify insurance details, obtain authorizations, and provide high-quality customer service as the first point of contact for referring offices and patients.
Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling for designated departments, maintaining records, and supporting the revenue cycle through accurate data entry and compliance
Responsible for assuring the patient is scheduled for the correct procedure at the appropriate time and with the appropriate resources. Responsible for pre-registration of the scheduled patient. Accurate documentation of the patients’ medical insurance and required authorizations is required. It is the responsibility of this position to assure that referring office staff and patients receive the highest customer service available as this is often the patient’s first impression.
