Job summary

Amentum is seeking an UH60 Aircraft Mechanic I to troubleshoot and repair rotor-wing aircraft systems, including engines, gearboxes, and flight controls. The role involves performing varied inspections and using specialized test equipment in a maintenance hangar environment.

The candidate will read manuals, service bulletins, and engineering data to determine repair methods and ensure airworthiness. A&P credentials or equivalent experience are required, and US citizenship may be needed for

Qualifications

• Must have valid A&P license or equivalent aviation maintenance experience.
• US Citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization at the work location.
• Experience within the last six years in aviation maintenance on UH60 or rotary-wing aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots malfunctions in UH60 aircraft systems and components.
• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures using hand tools and power tools.
• Performs scheduled inspections (100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase) and tests engine operation.
• Inspects engines and accessories for cracks, wear, and defects; reports findings.
