Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II (UH-60 Quality Control Inspector) to inspect repair and modification of aircraft structures, components, and engines. Lead small teams, ensure compliance with manuals, technical publications, and safety standards, and perform oversight on inspections for UH-60 programs.

Responsibilities include overseeing inspections, evaluating repairs, and guiding technicians in inspection techniques, with a focus on accurate documentation and adherence to contract

Qualifications

• Five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
• FAA A&P license; IA preferred.
• Experience inspecting MDS aircraft.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and manuals.
• Ability to lead small groups and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft technical inspections.
• Inspects and evaluates repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, components and engines.
• Inspects and evaluates maintenance of aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components.
• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine malfunctions.
• Provides guidance to lower-level technicians and ensures safety and quality standards are met.
