Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking an experienced IT professional to support uEHR implementations, focusing on HIM Deficiency Tracking, Release of Information, EMPI, HIM Coding and Abstracting, and Gallery Document Management. The role requires familiarity with MPI interfaces, confidentiality guidelines, and vendor coordination.

This position supports systems beyond Epic. The candidate will design, configure, and support application solutions to improve workflows, data integrity, and usability,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and 4 years of technical application experience may be considered
• If an application requires certification, it must be obtained within 6 months and maintained

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and implements solutions within assigned applications and ensures alignment with requirements
• Educates others on system relationships, workflows, and operational impacts
• Performs gap analysis and recommends improvements for workflows and integrations
• Leads testing, test planning, and validation activities
• Develops and delivers end‑user training and system adoption support
• Creates and validates documentation and knowledge resources
• Manages projects within assigned applications, coordinating timelines and dependencies
• Communicates project status and impact to stakeholders
• Mentors peers and junior staff
• Maintains budgets and seeks cost-saving opportunities
