Job summary

Black Box in Plano, TX is seeking a Unified Communications (UC) Install & Support Technician to install, program, test and troubleshoot UC platforms across Premise, Hosted and Cloud environments (Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya, NEC, Mitel, Shortel, Unify, etc.). You will handle MAC work orders, diagnose faults, and coordinate with North American operations to meet SLAs.

Requires 2+ years UC experience, an associate degree or tech certification, and relevant vendor certifications; strong

Qualifications

Associate degree or Certification in a technology services/technical discipline or equivalent.
Minimum 2+ years' experience with Unified Communications (UC) systems.
Industry and manufacturer specific certifications preferred (e.g., Cisco CCNA Voice, Microsoft MCSE, Avaya ACIS/ACSS/ACSE).
Proven ability to install, service, program, test and troubleshoot UC systems.

Responsibilities

Install and program UC platforms including Chat, Presence, Voice, Mobility, Audio, Web, Video, Desktop Sharing, Call Control, Speech Recognition, Unified Messaging, Email, Digital Signage.
Troubleshoot UC product platforms for Premise, Hosted and Cloud deployments.
Complete MAC work orders and maintain accurate documentation for billing and SLAs.
Ensure customer satisfaction by professional communication with clients.
Coordinate with North American operations to complete projects efficiently.
Respond to emergencies after hours to meet SLAs.
