Job summary

InvestedintheMission is seeking a Solder Technician III to test and troubleshoot electronic and control systems for unmanned air vehicles in a rigorous R&D setting. You will fabricate, assemble, test, and repair electronic subsystems and avionics components for small UAVs.

The role requires translating designs into build instructions, writing procedures, and maintaining detailed records. Overtime and some travel may be needed, with emphasis on safety and quality in manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate from a trade/technical school required.
• Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in an aircraft manufacturing or Aerospace R&D environment.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to translate an engineered design into build instructions for assembly and test personnel.
• Experienced with electrical schematics and interpreting electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Hands-on experience with analog and digital hardware; familiarity with avionics and/or controls.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing, testing, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and components.
• Write assembly and test procedures; maintain a detailed notebook of activities.
• Operate and maintain tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Fabricate electronic assemblies for small UAVs based on drawings and engineering data.
• Field test/flight test may be required; travel may be necessary.
• Lead or assist team members; determine methods for new assignments.
