Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc seeks a highly skilled Electronics Technician to support development, testing, manufacturing and repair of advanced electronic systems used in UAV, robotic, avionics, and mission-critical products. The candidate should have hands-on electronics skills, strong troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics technology or related field.
• Minimum five years of electronics troubleshooting, repair, test, or related experience.
• Experience with PCB assemblies, embedded systems, UAV/robotics or avionics preferred.
• Strong SMT and through-hole soldering and rework skills.
• Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering docs; perform PCB-level changes.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, repair electronic assemblies and full systems.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, and engineering docs; implement ECO changes.
• Perform PCB-level modifications and rework on components.
• Solder SMT and through-hole parts per IPC/J-STD standards.
• Assemble and validate avionics, UAV, robotics, and power systems.
• Develop and maintain test procedures, travelers, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering during prototyping and production.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians.
