Radiance Technologies seeks an Aerospace Engineer to support the Test and Training Group in Huntsville, AL. The role bridges engineering and flight operations, designing, building, and piloting UAS used as live targets for testing directed energy and kinetic weapon systems.

Responsibilities include assembling and maintaining UAS platforms, serving as remote pilot, integrating sensors, and collaborating with engineers to plan live-fire tests. Travel ~25% may be required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain clearance.
• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on technical maintenance or field service experience.
• Ability to work in office and outside environment.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and maintain UAS platforms to meet target profile requirements.
• Serve as remote pilot in command for UAS flights during live-fire weapon testing.
• Integrate sensors, tracking aids, and telemetry equipment onto UAS platforms.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to plan, execute, and analyze live-fire test events.
• Perform pre-flight inspections, post-flight maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAS hardware and software.
• Maintain detailed flight logs, maintenance records, and technical build documentation.
• Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical modules, components, and wire harnesses.
• Travel 25% for extended duration as assigned.
