Job summary

Radiance Technologies, an employee-owned defense contractor, seeks an Aerospace Engineer to support the Test and Training Group for US Army weapon-testing programs. You will design, build, and pilot UAS used as live targets, bridging engineering and flight operations in a hands-on environment.

You will assemble, modify, and maintain UAS platforms, serve as remote pilot in command, integrate sensors and telemetry, and document test activities. CAD (SolidWorks) and 3D printing knowledge is valued.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a clearance.
• 2+ years of hands-on technical maintenance or field service experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
• Ability to work in office and outside environment
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
• Ability to work independently to achieve project objectives by deadline
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with CAD applications to include SolidWorks or similar
• 3D printing experience
• Some programming experience with MATLAB, C#, C++, or Python

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and maintain UAS platforms to meet specific target profile requirements
• Serve as a remote pilot in command for UAS target flights during live-fire weapon testing
• Integrate sensors, tracking aids, and telemetry equipment onto various UAS platforms
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to plan, execute, and analyze live-fire test events
• Perform pre-flight inspections, post-flight maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAS hardware and software
• Maintain detailed flight logs, maintenance records, and technical build documentation
• Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical modules, components, and wire harnesses
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications
• Travel 25% for extended duration as assigned
