Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensors RF Systems UAS Portfolio seeks a hands-on UAS Operations Test Engineer to join a team testing Tactical Uncrewed Aviation Systems. You will develop test plans, perform lab, field and flight testing, and analyze results to ensure mission-ready solutions in close collaboration with government stakeholders.

The role requires strong UAS operations experience, ability to work independently in lab and field environments, and a valid Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate with a Secret

Qualifications

• BS in a related field from an accredited institution with 8–12 years of UAS operations experience.
• Hands-on experience with multiple UAS platforms, performing both Air and Payload Operations.
• Ability to possess or obtain Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop detailed technical reports and briefings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop test plans, procedures, and detailed technical reports.
• Conduct lab, field, and flight testing, including test setup, data collection, and post-test analysis.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system behavior using standard flight control and test systems to include protocol analyzers and flight replay utilities.
