Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Specialist, Integration and Test Engineer to join the Integration and Test team supporting Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, end-user integration, and field readiness across lab and operational environments.

The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, system verification, and collaboration with engineering and operations to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Active U.S. Security Clearance with current 5-year update

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on technical engineering with product design, development, testing and troubleshooting.
• Lead and perform integration activities on new designs, updates, etc.
• Develop integration & verification plans/procedures
• Coordinate integration testing to verify system operation
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and training
• Elevates issues to IPTL when unable to resolve
• Collaborate across engineering and operations functions to drive to a solution
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
• Conduct lessons learned sessions and apply findings to future deliveries
• System design synthesis of complex electronic systems to include processes and interfaces in testing
• Create, maintain TDP, system specs, design documents, maintenance plans
• Analyze data from design verification test efforts
• Develop and run simulations to predict system performance
