SAIC is seeking a motivated UAS Software Engineer to join the S3I JSIL Tech Center in Huntsville, AL. You will collaborate with developers, testers, and cyber personnel to address bugs and add features to the codebase.

The role sits at the customer site in Huntsville, and involves cross-functional collaboration, technology evaluation, and detailed documentation of designs and APIs. A Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience is typical for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of work experience; four additional years in lieu of degree.
• Senior level: Bachelor's degree and 9 years of work experience; four additional years in lieu of degree.
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming in Java, C++, and C#.
• Strong experience using Gitlab CI/CD.
• Strong experience with scripting languages Bash, Python, or PowerShell including automation of installations.
• Strong understanding of computing system architectures and virtual machines.
• Strong command line experience with UNIX-based OS or Windows command line.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with managers, hardware engineers, network engineers and stakeholders to implement system requirements.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and methodologies to improve development and system performance.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including designs, APIs, and diagrams; communicate concepts clearly.
• Support software design and implementation, ensuring high-quality, scalable code; assist debugging and optimization.
