DoorDash, Inc. is seeking a UAS Operations Specialist to operate as a Remote Pilot in Command in a commercial Part 135 delivery environment.

The role involves completing FAA‑approved training, attaining aircraft qualifications, and maintaining currency and proficiency while supporting flight testing and data collection. The position requires strong aviation fundamentals, adherence to FAA rules, and the ability to work with cross‑functional teams to ensure safe, scalable drone operations.

Qualifications

• FAA Remote Pilot Certificate with a small UAS rating and Part 107 knowledge currency is required.
• Relevant commercial UAS or aviation flight experience is preferred.
• Ability to maintain required medical eligibility and pilot qualifications.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations, airspace, weather, and aircraft limitations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as commercial UAS RPIC (Remote Pilot in Command) under supervision.
• Complete initial ground and flight training, and aircraft qualification before duties.
• Maintain pilot certificates, currency, recurrent training, and operational records.
• Conduct preflight planning, weather review, mission execution, and post‑flight duties.
• Apply SOPs, manuals, exemptions, and FAA authorizations relevant to flights.
• Provide feedback on aircraft behavior and operational performance.
• Identify zones, risks, and report hazards through proper channels.
• Support Part 107 operations, flight testing, and data collection.
