Job summary

DoorDash seeks a UAS Operations Specialist to join Flight Operations, supporting commercial drone delivery under Part 135. You will complete FAA approved training and aircraft qualification to become Remote Pilot in Command, maintaining currency and proficiency.

You’ll work with flight test and cross‑functional teams, and may be considered for instructor or check pilot roles as you qualify, ensuring safe, scalable drone operations and adherence to FAA requirements.

Qualifications

• FAA Remote Pilot Certificate with a small UAS rating.
• Maintain Part 107 aeronautical knowledge currency.
• Relevant commercial UAS or aviation flight experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a commercial UAS RPIC under supervision and company leadership.
• Complete initial ground and flight training, qualification, and checks.
• Maintain pilot certificates, currency, and medical eligibility.
• Conduct preflight planning, weather/airspace review, mission execution.
• Apply manuals, SOPs, checklists, exemptions, waivers, and FAA authorizations.
• Exercise risk management and aeronautical decision‑making during operations.
• Support Part 107 operations, testing, validation, and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with flight test and cross‑functional teams on test plans.
• Provide structured flight/operation records and reporting.
• Participate in safety reporting and contribute to SOP/documentation.
