Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a UAS Pilot to work full time on-site in Yuma, AZ. You will build, maintain, and repair fixed-wing and multirotor UAS and operate them in support of flight tests, training, and data collection events

You will hold pilot-in-command responsibilities, maintain flight logs, and develop critical government client relationships while ensuring safety and mission success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 300 logged hours operating remote-control aircraft or commercial/military aircraft.
• 3+ years of experience in remote-control UAS piloting, fabrication, maintenance, and repair.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification required.
• Experience with autonomous missions using ArduPilot/Pixhawk and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and operation of remote-control UAS (UAVs) and manage flight operations.
• Provide fabrication, maintenance, service, and repair of fixed-wing and multirotor UAS.
• Plan and execute autonomous and manual missions with risk assessment and airspace deconfliction.
• Maintain flight logs and pilot certifications; build government customer relationships.
