Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Technician III – Field Support Generalist to operate and instruct on Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) in field environments.

The role collaborates with engineering, technical support, and manufacturing to ensure training reflects current product features and safety procedures. The position requires significant travel (CONUS/OCONUS), deployment availability, and strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Military/instructor experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operates and instructs on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
• Maintains field operation procedures and safety standards.
• Travels 8–9 months per year across CONUS/OCONUS.
• Completes documentation for field operations and after-action reports.
• Mentors small groups of students to meet course objectives.
