Job summary

Leidos is seeking a UAS Data Links Communications Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support testing and evaluation of UAS data links and communications technologies for DoD missions. You will work with SMEs to assess system performance, interoperability, and compliance in contested environments.

The role requires a strong RF communications background, experience with data link architectures, and hands-on testing, integration, and documentation. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related STEM field with 4–8 years of experience or a Master's with 2–6 years.
• In lieu of a degree, 9+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of tactical data links or military communications technologies such as DDL/ADDL/CDL/SATCOM.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and evaluation of UAS data links and comms tech for performance and interoperability.
• Assist in system integration, troubleshooting, data collection, and test result documentation.
• Collaborate to define and verify system performance metrics and interoperability requirements.
• Support systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, interface definition, verification.
• Provide technical assessments and recommendations for future capabilities and compliance.
• Participate in technical meetings and document decisions and actions.
