Job summary

U-Haul in Brandon, FL is seeking a customer service associate to assist customers with U-Haul products and services and to manage rentals using U-Scan technology. You will move and hook up trucks and trailers, inspect equipment, and educate customers on available options.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to perform diverse tasks including assembly of hitches and propane filling. Continuous education through U-Haul University is provided.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or aptitude
• Ability to learn and use U-Scan technology for rentals and inventory
• Safe operation of equipment and driving as needed
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Forklift operation proficiency may be required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
• Inspect and clean equipment on the lot and check fluids
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services
• Prepare rental invoices and process returns
• Install hitches and trailer wiring
• Fill propane and drive a forklift as needed
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education
• Perform other duties as assigned
