Our client is a dynamic and fast-expanding beverage company entering the US market with a portfolio of innovative, high-quality drinks. As they establish their footprint, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven Channel Development Leader to lead retail and foodservice channel expansion, ensuring strong distribution and brand visibility nationwide.

Key focus: Designing and executing the channel strategy to drive distribution, sales growth, and market penetration across key retail (grocery, convenience, mass merchandisers, specialty stores) and foodservice (restaurants, cafés, hotels, QSR) channels. This role will build and manage relationships with distributors, brokers, and key retail/foodservice partners while ensuring alignment with brand and revenue goals.

Channel Strategy & Market Entry Execution
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive channel strategy for the US market, identifying high-potential retail and foodservice partners.
  • Lead negotiations with national and regional retailers & foodservice providers to secure listings and promotions.
  • Establish distributor and broker networks to maximize market coverage efficiently.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to refine channel approach.
Partnership & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at retail chains, distributors, and foodservice groups.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of channel plans.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and buyer meetings.
Revenue Growth & Performance Tracking
  • Set and achieve distribution, sales, and revenue targets for each channel.
  • Monitor and optimize trade spend, promotional ROI, and pricing strategies.
  • Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 8+ years in channel development, sales, or key account management in the beverage industry (carbonated drinks, RTD beverages, or CPG preferred).
  • Proven track record in launching and expanding brands within US retail (grocery, c-store, mass) and foodservice channels.
  • Strong existing relationships with major US retailers, distributors, and foodservice operators.
  • Experience in new market entry, distributor management, and broker networks.
  • Analytical mindset with expertise in trade marketing, pricing, and P&L management.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Mandarin speaking is a strong plus
