Foundation for African Medicine and Education (FAME) seeks a U.S. Managing Director in Boston to lead fundraising, development and organizational strategy. You will set revenue growth, cultivate major donors and institutional funders, and guide the U.S.

team with Board partnership at the center of strategy. Reporting to co-founders and Tanzania leadership, you will translate FAME’s impact for U.S. audiences, orchestrate donor engagement and plan multi-year campaigns while ensuring strong

Qualifications

• 5+ years nonprofit fundraising and donor development experience.
• 3+ years management and supervisory experience.
• Experience building fundraising strategies and revenue goals.
• Exceptional donor relationship-building and communications skills.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and results.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the U.S. and to Tanzania.

Responsabilités

• Partner with the U.S. Board and leadership to advance FAME’s mission, vision and priorities.
• Translate organizational priorities into effective U.S. fundraising, donor engagement and communications strategies.
• Develop and execute FAME U.S.’s comprehensive annual fundraising strategy in partnership with the Board, leadership and Development Team.
• Lead efforts to achieve annual fundraising goals across individual, foundation and institutional support.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of institutional funders and long-term relationships.
• Oversee fundraising events, donor engagement and campaigns, including tours and initiatives.
• Develop opportunities to engage volunteers and donors as ambassadors.
• Oversee the U.S. office operations, budgets and donor database integrity.
• Provide strategic leadership for communications supporting fundraising and visibility.
