Job summary

The University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY is seeking a U.S. Based Coordinator for the STEGH Kenya Program. This temporary, part-time role supports international collaboration and helps manage global health activities.

You will coordinate program development, participant support, logistics, budgeting, and partner engagement, ensuring safety, compliance, and ethical standards. Bachelor’s degree required in public health or related field; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, global health, Community and Leadership Development, international education, business/finance or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred. Microsoft Office Suite experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and promote the STEGH program in collaboration with international partners, ensuring alignment with global health ethics and UK Education Abroad standards.
• Oversee recruitment, application guidance, and pre-departure support, including visa, health, and travel documentation.
• Coordinate in-country activities with Kenyan partners, manage travel arrangements, housing, supplies, and regulatory compliance, and ensure participant safety and comfort.
• Develop and manage program budgets, handle billing and payments, forecast expenses, and pursue grant opportunities to support program growth.
• Cultivate strong relationships with Kenyan universities, clinics, schools, and community organizations to support collaboration and cultural exchange.
• Collect and analyze participant feedback, identify areas for enhancement, and report on program outcomes to guide future development.
