Job summary

Metro Nashville Public Schools is offering a Social Media Intern role within the POWER Youth program. Work involves creating and posting content, campaigns, and messaging for the Metropolitan Action Commission social media platforms. The position is in-person, Mon–Fri 9:00am–3:30pm, not to exceed 20 hours weekly, with an $18.00 per hour wage. Dress code is Business Professional.

• Uphold mission, vision and core values with professional communication.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develop social media content and campaigns for agency platforms.
• Write engaging captions for target audiences.
• Take photos and assist with photo/video content.
• Monitor daily engagement and respond timely to followers.
• Proficient in social media; training provided; knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe or similar design tools.

The POWER Youth program, previously known as Opportunity NOW, provides career exploration and work experience activities for youth 14 to 24 years old. The name POWER Youth was selected by the peer youth leadership team based on how they view themselves and their future.
