Job summary

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas.
  • 3-5 years of substantive, hands-on experience in real estate law.
  • Direct experience with real estate development and master planned communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft complex legal documents with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate plats, development agreements, and related entitlement documents.
  • Prepare and amend restrictive covenants for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Draft and revise governing documents for master planned communities, including declarations, bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Form and advise nonprofits and property owners associations, including certificates of formation and governance documents.
  • Provide legal guidance to developers throughout all phases of development projects.
