Job summary

A & Associates is seeking a General Laborer for first shift in Ferris, TX. You will perform a variety of manual labor tasks under supervision, including lifting, loading, digging and mowing, with a $16.00 per hour pay rate.

The position is in-person, with standard hours 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and no supervisory responsibilities. High school diploma or GED is required; associate degree is a plus. Safety and reliability are valued at this role.

General Laborer

Pay Rate:$16.00 per hour
Shift:First Shift, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Summary

Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks under direct supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general manual labor tasks, including but not limited to:

• Lifting and moving materials.


• Loading and unloading vehicles.


• Digging and refilling holes.


• Mowing grass and trimming.


• Operating equipment and assisting with various activities.


• Performing other duties and tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position hasno supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.


• 0-4 years of previous experience.

Preferred:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.


• 0-4 years of previous experience.

Licenses/Certifications:None required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:No specific additional knowledge, skills, or abilities are required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Uses motor coordination and finger dexterity, including for machine operation, occasionally.


• Required to exert physical effort handling objects weighing less than 30 pounds for most of the workday.


• May occasionally be exposed to occupational risks such as cuts, burns, or exposure to chemicals.


• May occasionally work in environments involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar conditions.


• Normal work setting involvesmanual labor.
