Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a hands-on Repair Technician I to diagnose, repair, program, upgrade, and test two-way radio communication equipment in Lanham, MD. This onsite role focuses on RF/electronics troubleshooting, equipment testing, and precise documentation of repairs and test results.

Ideal candidates have an Associate Degree or equivalent experience, 1–3 years in related technical work, and familiarity with RF concepts, DVMs, service monitors, and watt meters. U.S. citizen required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronics field.
• Knowledge of RF communications and two-way radio systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment.
• Experience using DVMs, service monitors, or watt meters.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel and Google Docs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair two-way radios and electronic equipment.
• Program and perform hardware upgrades on radio equipment.
• Use DVMs, service monitors, watt meters, and other test equipment.
• Perform operational testing and validate equipment performance.
• Document repairs, test results, serial numbers, and equipment information.
• Prepare equipment for final shipment while following quality procedures.
