Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Two Skills Tech - CT/XRay for weekend days. You will perform CT/XRay procedures, operate imaging equipment, and assist with IV contrast to obtain diagnostic-quality images.

How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare

Up to $6.00/hour in shift differential/premium is available.
Up to $30,000 new hire sign‑on bonus and $7,000 in relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical procedures for radiological diagnosis or treatment of patients using CT/XRay, and other related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist or other credentialed specialist.
• Operate highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images.
• Perform IV contrast injections and other required skills.
• Schedule and register patients, maintain patient files.
• Evaluate, prepare, position and observe patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety.
• Comply with all Carilion Clinic and Imaging policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Train students and staff as assigned.
• Interpret information needed to identify patient’s requirement relative to specific needs and provide care per applicable policy and procedures.
• Interact with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.
• Work with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.
• May provide care at other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or GED. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training in Angiography, Diagnostic Radiology, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound.
• Experience: None specified.
• Licensure/Certification: AARRT or ARRT registry, registration eligible. CT experience preferred; if not registered in CT, must become CT registered within 2 years of hire.
• AHA BLS‑HCP required; may also need BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.
• Additional registry requirements: Mammography (registry within 24 months); MRI (certified/registered by ARRT or NMTCB or ARDMS, 2 years to complete advanced MRI certification); Breast Ultrasound (registry within 24 months).
• Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
• Must be able to function independently.
• Good computer and communication skills.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $30.47 - $45.71 per hour. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
