Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures, position patients, inject IV contrast, and operate imaging equipment to support radiologic diagnosis.

The role requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program and ARRT CT registration within one year of hire; excellent interpersonal and technical skills are essential. Travel to other Carilion facilities may be required.

The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients. The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images. Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients. Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required. Evaluates and positions patients. Interprets information needed to identify each patient’s requirement and/or specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures. Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care. Assists patients with scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing. Trains students and staff as assigned. May need to travel to other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

What We Require

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure/Certification

• Must be CT registered within one year of hire.

• Good interpersonal and technical skills, and flexibility in assignments.

Compensation Range

• Salary: $33.52 - $50.28 per hour
• Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
• The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
