How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare

Up to a $30,000 sign‑on bonus, up to $7,000 in relocation assistance is available. Hours: Primarily Monday‑Friday; days with one weekend per month required. Will also cover other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical procedures for radiological diagnosis or treatment of patients, using injection skills as needed and other related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist or other credentialed specialist.
• Operate highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images.
• Perform IV contrast injections and other skills as required.
• Schedule and register patients; maintain patient files.
• Evaluate, prepare, position and observe patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety.
• Comply with all Carilion Clinic and Imaging policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Train students and staff as assigned.
• Interpret information needed to identify patient’s requirement relative to specific needs and provide care per applicable policy and procedures.
• Interact with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.
• Work with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.
• May provide care at other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or GED.
• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology, other associated imaging technologies, or other approved training in Angiography, Diagnostic Radiology, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound.
• Experience: none.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT registry, registry eligible or other required certifications per modality.
• AHA BLS‑HCP required.
• Modality specific registries required within specified timeframes (e.g., Mammography registry within 24 months, MRI registry within specified time).
• Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
• Must function independently, good computer and communication skills.

Compensation

Range: $30.47 - $45.71 per hour. Pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
