Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and supervise a group of 8–13 students, guiding their academic, emotional, and social development.

The role follows a 9 days on, 3 days off schedule, with transition to a Placed Houseparent after a period of service. Both spouses must complete separate applications.

Qualifications

• Experience with youth work or volunteering.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. drivers license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
