Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certificate, Associate or Bachelor degree preferred, or current enrollment in related program.
• Previous golf course maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong interest in a long-term golf course management career.
• Working knowledge of agronomy, irrigation, and course maintenance practices or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Phase 1: assist with daily planning, staffing, and maintenance execution at The Lido at Sand Valley.
• Phase 1: perform course setup, mowing, rolling, bunker care, and irrigation operation.
• Phase 1: train and supervise seasonal team members focusing on quality and safety.
• Phase 1: support irrigation, drainage, water management, and turf health programs.
• Phase 1: assist with fertilizer, aeration, and integrated pest management applications.
• Phase 1: participate in construction, renovation, and specialty maintenance projects.
• Phase 1: assist with equipment operation, maintenance, and preventive care.
• Phase 1: support purchasing, inventory management, and record-keeping.
• Phase 1: serve in Superintendent’s capacity during absences when assigned.
• Phase 2: assist Director of Agronomy with daily course and facility management at 21 Golf Club.
• Phase 2: support crew scheduling, procedures, and daily course setup.
• Phase 2: assist with irrigation scheduling and system adjustments for water efficiency.
• Phase 2: apply best management practices to meet conditioning and standards.
• Phase 2: assist with fertilizer and plant protectant programs and aerification.
• Phase 2: coordinate with Equipment Manager on mowing, tournaments, and equipment needs.
• Phase 2: assist with construction, renovations, and special initiatives.
• Phase 2: maintain chemical, fertilizer, and application records.
• Phase 2: participate in budgeting discussions and planning.
• Phase 2: engage in on-the-job learning, ask questions, and show initiative.
