Sand Valley LLC invites motivated students and recent graduates to join our Agronomy Internship, gaining hands-on experience in golf course maintenance, turfgrass management, irrigation, and equipment care.

Work alongside experienced leaders, contribute to daily course prep, specialized projects, and grow in a team‑focused environment that emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration in Wisconsin’s outdoors.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from turfgrass management or related field.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow directions safely.
• Comfort with independent work and fast-paced teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily course setup, mowing, bunker maintenance, and routine tasks.
• Collect and track moisture readings with TDR moisture meter.
• Safely operate golf course and maintenance equipment.
• Learn irrigation controls and assist with watering programs and audits.
• Support aquatic maintenance of lakes and ponds.
• Maintain bentgrass, fescue, and ryegrass across areas.
• Perform turfgrass cultural practices like mowing and aerifying.
• Assist with fertilizer and pesticide applications and recordkeeping.
• Help with seedbed prep and seeding greens, tees, and native areas.
