Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Chatsworth, GA is seeking a Twister Operator for the C Shift to operate and tend to yarn-twisting machines.

You will load yarn, monitor equipment, perform quality checks, and ensure safe production in a large, industrial flooring facility. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and follow standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Teamwork in a team-based environment.
• Basic math skills for production and measurement.
• Ability to read spec sheets or product information.
• Deal with problems in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
