Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Twister Operator on the B shift in Chatsworth, GA. The role involves setting up, operating, and tending yarn-twisting machines, loading yarn, and ensuring safe production in an industrial environment.

You will perform quality checks, follow SOPs, and participate in training, with the aim of meeting production targets while maintaining equipment efficiency. This position requires physical endurance and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakout during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
