Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Dalton, Georgia is seeking a Twister Operator B Shift to join our yarn production team. You will set up, operate, and monitor machines that twist yarn, handle creel loading, and ensure safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities include loading yarn, repositioning buggies, threading ends, doffing packages, performing quality checks, following safety procedures, and participating in on-the-job training. High school diploma preferred; manufacturing experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of required on-the-job training.
• Health and environmental safety training completed.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
