Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Twister Operator on the B Shift in Chatsworth, GA. You will operate and tend to a frame of yarn-twisting machines, loading yarn, threading ends, and ensuring smooth production flow while upholding safety standards.

The role requires basic math, the ability to read product specs, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment. You will perform quality checks, participate in training, and support general housekeeping and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Teamwork in a team-based environment.
• Basic math skills required for daily tasks.
• Ability to read spec sheets or product information.
• On-the-job training and safety training completed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn together.
• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
