Job summary

Mohawk Industries in Roanoke, AL seeks a Twister Operator to support the yarn processing line. You will creel yarn, load onto twisters, monitor equipment for safety, perform basic quality checks, and move finished yarn to containers while maintaining clean, orderly work areas.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior yarn or manufacturing experience. This full-time, on-site role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, teamwork, and willingness to complete on‑the‑job

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training.
• Successful completion of health and environmental safety training.
• Previous yarn or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn and transfer to containers.
• Monitor production output and machine safety.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain machine efficiency.
• Follow all established SOPs and safety procedures.
