Job summary

University of Minnesota Morris is seeking a Regional Admission Counselor based in the Twin Cities metro area. You will design and implement recruitment plans, build strong relationships with high school counselors, families, and educational partners, and represent UMN Morris at college fairs and information sessions.

The role requires travel within the Twin Cities area, occasional overnight trips, and a commitment to diversity and student success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of professional experience, or a Master's degree.
Commitment to a diverse, inclusive campus community.
Excellent public speaking, presentation, writing, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel extensively (evenings/weekends) and work independently.

Responsibilities

Design and implement a recruitment plan for the Twin Cities metro to meet enrollment goals.
Serve as the primary UMN Morris representative in the Twin Cities, building relationships with counselors and stakeholders.
Conduct in-person and virtual recruitment activities (high school visits, fairs, info sessions, open houses, admitted student events).
Deliver presentations highlighting programs, student experience, scholarships, and financial aid.
Review applications and assist with admission decisions based on qualifications and fit.
Maintain ongoing communication with prospects via phone, email, text, and CRM campaigns.
Monitor recruitment trends and adjust strategies; collaborate with admissions team.
Meet individual and team recruitment and enrollment targets; participate in professional development.
