Job summary

Nyman Associates, Inc. is seeking compassionate TVI educators to provide itinerant vision-related education to students with vision impairments across multiple placements.

You will deliver individualized instruction, including Braille and orientation & mobility skills, and collaborate with schools and families to support inclusion. We welcome both seasoned TVIs and newly certified teachers who want to grow in a supportive environment with dedicated clinical leads and professional development

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Georgia certification for TVI and Orientation & Mobility per GaDOE

Responsibilities

• Providing itinerant vision-related education services to students with blindness or visual impairments
• Delivering individualized instruction, including Braille and orientation & mobility skills
• Assessing student needs and developing appropriate learning materials and accommodations
• Adapting curriculum, classroom environments, and materials to ensure accessibility
• Being an active IEP team member, writing goals, and monitoring progress
• Conducting functional vision and learning media assessments
• Planning and implementing lessons tailored to specific eye conditions
• Maintaining accurate records and submitting required reports to schools and families
• Acquiring and delivering adaptive equipment, books, and administering assessments with recommendations
• Collaborating with teachers, service providers, and families to support inclusion and student success
