Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Tutor for Title I Science for 25 hours per week with an End of Year target. Immediate start is available.

Under supervision, you will deliver lesson plans and instructional materials, monitor student progress, and supervise students to maintain a safe learning environment. This is an hourly, part-time role for 9 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

General Definition of Work

The Tutor, under general supervision, performs instructional work with minimal decision-making discretion related to implementing a supplemental instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides, and encourages students to support and fulfill their academic goals. Employee performs school-based work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the principal.
