Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking part-time tutors for Spring 2026 to support math, science and writing/study skills. You will tutor individuals or groups, both in person and remotely, guiding students to develop independent learning habits and confidence.

Strong communication with students and the tutoring supervisor is essential. Responsibilities include maintaining timely records, staying current with tutoring practices, and participating in trainings.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in related field or equivalent education/experience or certification.
• Teaching, tutoring or work experience in related content area.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and colleagues.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-person, group and/ or remote tutoring sessions for assigned courses.
• Adopts learner-centered approach to boost student confidence and success.
• Maintains accurate documentation of tutoring sessions and outcomes.
• Supports development of independent learning skills in students.
• Attends regular tutor trainings and adapt strategies for diverse learners.
